PROFILE

Hannah Wilson

Operations Lead

Hannah is a first year PhD chemist, on the BBSRC DTP at the University of Manchester. Her research looks at lanthanide-doped upconverting nanoparticles, particularly at their application in biosensing. She studied for her MChem at the University of Oxford, which included research on luminescent lanthanide complexes. Here she was vice president of OxFEST (Females in STEM), and helped to found an interdisciplinary science conference for undergraduates. When not filling her time with science-based activities, Hannah enjoys playing the piano, and all things arty or edible.
