On 21st October NWBI hosted its first ever ‘Biotech meets Beer’ at TRACK brewery. We were joined by 20 students who were able to get a sneak peak of the tap room and receive a talk directly from one of the brewers. Attendees were able to gain an understanding of the brewing process and learn the importance of yeast which also happens to be a crucial component of the projects carried out by many of the students.

After the talk, all participants were given the option to stay and enjoy tasting what TRACK Brew Co. has to offer which gave them the opportunity to network with fellow students who also have a keen interest in yeast!
