"UoM's got consultants": show us what you've got at the NBI Consulting Case Compet

The upcoming North West Biotech Initiative Consulting Case Competition on Saturday, 9th June 2018 is the perfect opportunity to boost your CV and make an impression when applying for your first job in consulting or any industry related role, particularly within biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

What is the competition about?

Daraga INC. is a fictional “big pharma” company aiming to replenish its product portfolio by acquiring a thriving biotech SME. As a consulting team of 3 to 5 people, you will advise the company on merging with/acquiring 4 different candidate SME’s and present your final proposal in front of Daraga INC’s Executive Board composed of a panel of business, financial and healthcare experts. You will be given 10 days before the competition to prepare your case.On the day itself, you will work with a mentor in the morning to finalise your proposal, and then present in the afternoon to a panel of judges, and an audience of fellow students.

Do I fit the criteria to apply?

We welcome applications from anyone studying a degree in Life/Medical Sciences, Business and STEM subjects. Don’t worry - you don’t have to be an expert in pharmaceutical sciences to excel in the competition! You can apply as a team of 3 to 5 people, or as an individual, to be matched into a team by us.
